Pastor's Ministry Workshop
Pastor Bob has established a Pastor's Ministry Workshop on Sunday evenings for the purpose of helping
the saints at Austin Bible Church discover and develop their spiritual gifts. Pastor Bob saw the need
for the Pastor's Ministry Workshop as events unfolded over time.
- In October of 2004 Pastor Bob began teaching a series on
Basic Doctrinal Studies
encompassing ten primary and foundational areas of Bible study.
- In 2005 Pastor Bob began teaching a class in New Testament Greek on Sunday evenings. The class was
offered to edify all of the saints at Austin Bible Church and to serve as a foundational course in
biblical languages for believers who have teaching or evangelism gifts.
- In April of 2006 the Basic Doctrinal Studies course concluded with a study on spiritual gifts.
This study prompted many believers to want to know what spiritual gift (or gifts) they might have
received from God at the moment of salvation.
- In July of 2006 Glenn Carnagey, Jr. began teaching a class in Hebrew.
The Pastor's Ministry Workshop has already covered the following areas of study:
- Biblical Hermeneutics (the proper interpretation of Scripture) based on Rollin Thomas Chafer's definitive work on the subject
- Evangelism including the following book studies:
- True Evangelism: Winning Souls Through Prayer by Lewis Sperry Chafer
- How To Be Born Again by Billy Graham
- How-To Book on Personal Evangelism by Larry Moyer
- Say It with Love by Howard G. Hendricks
- Walk-Thru the Bible home evangelism material developed by Pastor Ralph Braun

- Church History based on Earle E. Cairns' book Christianity Through the Centuries

- Intermediate Charismatology as a follow-up to Pastor Bob's own development in the Basic Doctrinal Studies series
These studies have been extremely beneficial and some of those involved in the studies have already begun
to perceive a gift God has bestowed upon him or her. As this happens Pastor Bob directs that believer in a
course of study specifically targeted to train that gift. Some have come to believe that they have the
pastor-teacher gift, so the New Testament Greek class and Hebrew class have served as wonderful
foundational courses for their training.
The momentum of the Pastor's Ministry Workshop continues to be strong as the following area of study is
currently being undertaken:
